LANSING, MI – Today, Michigan AFL-CIO President Ron Bieber released the following statement in response to Vice President J.D. Vance’s visit to Bay City:
“J.D. Vance doesn’t know the first thing about Michigan workers, and neither does Donald Trump,” said Ron BIEBER, President of the Michigan AFL-CIO. “The last time Trump was in office, he promised to bring jobs back, but instead, he lost us nearly 200,000 American manufacturing jobs. He handed out tax breaks to billionaires while workers struggled just to survive. Vance and Trump’s agenda is the same as always — gut unions, slash wages, and do the bidding of corporate special interests. We’ll fight to elect leaders who protect good-paying union jobs, grow manufacturing, and put working people first.”
