As Creative Director for the Michigan AFL-CIO, Jessica can also be found supporting the creative needs of the Michigan Workforce Development Institute and many of Michigan’s Central Labor Councils. With a background in engineering and career experience in education, tech, and government, she is passionate about using visual storytelling as a tool for advocacy in the fight for social justice. Believing that all workers deserve a safe and rewarding work environment, Jessica remains dedicated to translating ideas into powerful and visually compelling photography and design. Jessica is excited to bring authenticity to her work, creating space and agency for the underserved and dismissed voices.
Technically creative, Jessica is an artist in a roomful of engineers and an engineer in a roomful of artists. When she is not capturing rasters, creating vectors, and navigating tight deadlines, she can be found cycling long distances between Lansing and the Mackinac Bridge, commuting on a fixed gear, and advocating for cycling rights and safety on our roads.
