Michigan AFL-CIO Internship Program is now accepting applications. We need Students like you to help us fight to organize more workplaces and elected leaders who will build an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected.

Every day the Michigan AFL-CIO fights for lower tuition, good paying jobs, and equality in the workplace. But elected officials in Lansing and Washington have rigged the rules of the economy to make it work for the corporate campaign donors while regular families struggle to get by. We’re ready to fight back – and we’re looking for college students to like you to help us make change happen in Michigan this year.

We are looking for a team of dedicated students to help grow a new nonprofit, Michigan AFL-CIO Advocates, which will be focused on building power to organized labor from the municipal level on up. This program will give interested students the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new 501(c)(4) nonprofit and has multiple opportunities for leadership.

We are currently accepting students onto our Organizing team. The internship can be done remotely and is currently accepting applications. For more information or to apply, feel free to email Advocates’ Executive Director, Jasmine Kaltenbach, at
