AFL-CIO President Shuler to Attend Annual Labor Day March in Detroit
DETROIT, Mich. — National AFL-CIO President Liz Shuler will join thousands of working people in Detroit for the Labor Day March on Monday, September 4.
Shuler’s visit to Detroit comes just days after the release of new polling showing strong support for labor unions among the general public, especially among young people.
The poll that was released by the AFL-CIO on Tuesday shows 71 percent of Americans approve of labor unions. That number increases to 88 percent when surveying only workers under age 30. The full polling summary can be found here.

Where: The March will take place in Detroit, routing from Michigan Avenue and 6th west to Roosevelt Park where a speaking program will take place. The March will begin at 9:00 AM.
